2026 AAMI AFL Origin, Western Australia v Victoria


Western Australia will take on Victoria on Saturday February 14 at Optus Stadium.

The state-based rivalry returns at the elite level for the first time in more than 25 years, having last been played in 1999 when Victoria played South Australia at the MCG.

Adding to the hype is a live televised 90-minute broadcast event - Origin Countdown - which will take place on the Southern Oval and feature some of AFL's best hosts, personalities and past legends.

Origin Footy Fest

Origin Footy Fest is almost here and it’s FREE to enter. It’s all happening at Stadium Park, Optus Stadium on Friday 13 and Saturday 14 February. Plenty happening for the kids, personalised footy cards, live entertainment, the big screen and a whole lot more! Visit origin.afl for all the info.

Open Training

Open training will take place from 3.30pm on Friday, 13 February. Entry is via Gate D at Optus Stadium and free for fans to attend.

Please note: There is no public parking available onsite for open training. We recommend taking public transport to get to and from the stadium.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT

Your ticket to the game includes travel on all Transperth services for three hours either side of the event. Simply show your event ticket to the driver or inspector if asked.

Note: The Midland line will be shut down between Bassendean and Midland from Thursday 22 January - Sunday 22 February 2026. Train replacement Route 901 will operate between Bassendean and Midland. Optus Stadium has limited ACROD parking bays available for major events. Registrations for ACROD parking are managed by registering online and are issued by email. Register online here.

ACROD Registration

The primary taxi rank is located off Victoria Park Drive. The taxi rank is adjacent to the Eastern Train Station accessible via the underpass.

In addition, an eight-stand pick up and drop off facility is located on Sailani Avenue in East Perth for taxi and other on-demand transport services to use e.g. Uber or Ola. Passengers of these services will be able to access the stadium via a short walk across the Matagarup Bridge. Pick up and drop off for private vehicles is not permitted.
